hidden treasures of drugstore

hi again gorgeous girls and boys!

today i want to start some sort of series on my blog:  ''hidden treasures of drugstore''. once a week i will choose a great product from the shelves of the drugstore and bring it in front of you with swatches, reviews, makeup ideas and so on. i started this blog because i do believe beauty is not supposed to be a luxury. beauty has to be affordable. we are all naturally beautiful and we all deserve to...well, you know... ''enhance'' that beauty. i would also be really glad to hear what awesome products you found in the drugstore.

that being said, today i'm very excited to talk about Rimmel London' s Magnif'Eyes eyeshadow & khol kajal. i've just bought it 2 days ago from Auchan. the price is only 21 lei (4,5 $). that's great because for little money you get great value. i have that product in no 2 ''kissed by a rose gold'' and that means 0,7 g of a beautiful rose gold eyeshadow and 0,9 g of brown pencil.

both products are very pigmented and shimmery (the pencil is less shimmery). the eyeshadow is extremly long wearing. when i swatched it on my hand at Auchan, i couldn't believe my eyes: i rubbed my skin and it didn't budge or fade. that was the moment when i knew it had to be mine 😀 at home, i washed my hands with warm water and soap and it didn't move. i used my micellar gel from l'oreal and it was still there, almost intact. it went away only when i applied some jojoba oil.  here is a swatch that i made few minutes ago:

i wore both the eyeshadow and the pencil today and they lasted from 8 a.m until now . it is 7 p.m. and i've just took my makeup off they looked intact so i guess they could last for more than 12 hours which is absolutely amazing for that price! only 4,5 $! Here's the look I created with Rimmel Magnif'eyes eyeshadow and khol kajal:

i primed my eyes with Too faced shadow insurance, then as a transition colour i used '' Substitute for love'' from Zoeva's Cocoa blend, i blended that colour into my crease up, close to the brow bone. to give more dimension to my eyes i used ''Infusion '' also from Cocoa blend and blended very well in the outer side of the lid and into the crease with a small blending brush from Elf. I put the same color  on the upper lid, close to the inner corner and blended with a small brush from Melkior. then, in the middle of the upper lid i placed that beautiful rose gold from Rimmel, applied mascara and used the Rimmel Magnif'eyes kohl kajal on my lower lid as close to the waterline as i could.

i highlighted the browbone and the inner corner with Bitterstart, also from Cocoa blend palette.

i'm thinking about trying a look with some purples and Rimmel Magnif'eyes, the shade that i have is pretty versatile and can be used to create different kind of  looks, from.the most simple to the eleborated ones. for example, if you are in a big hurry in the morning, you can use the Rimmel eyeshadow on your upper lid, apply mascara, a lipstick and you're good to go 😉

I will buy some other colours of Rimmel Magnif'eyes, the black and the pink one are also good options😀

that's all for today, if you used that product or any other great product from drugstore please comment down bellow and share together information & inspiration 😍

Melkior eyeshadows review and swatches

Hi everyone and welcome to my beauty blog! As you can imagine, I'm crazy about make-up and beauty 😍 I also love music, books ( I write poetry and prose, I published my first book in 2016) and travelling. This is my very first post and it took me a while to decide what to write about because I have so many products that I love and I want to review and share my opinion with you! I also appreciate your opinion and review so you can comment down below or post a link to your beauty blog, if you have one. I decided to write my first post in English, I want my blog to be an international one. Maybe in the future i'll post both in English and Romanian.

So, let's get to the point. Today I'm happy to show you some eyeshadows from a popular brand in Romania: Melkior. They have professional makeup and tools made in Italy. I own some lipsticks, lip pencils, brushes and eyeshadows and overall I like them, they look good, work well and don't cost a fortune.
Last days I bought two more eyeshadows from Melkior and i thought it was a good idea to talk about them.

That's my little collection consisting in 5 eyeshadows with diferent textures: mattes, satins and metallics:

The colors that i've just bought and didn't even use yet are Purple Haze (satin) and Lilith (matte). The other ones are Ethereal (the top one) which is my favourite transition shade (matte), Delicate Rose (matte) is a very pale rose that i sometimes use to brighten the inner corners of my eyes and Gold Metal which really is a beautiful metalic eyeshadow suitable for a more dramatic look. I love gold so i used Gold Metal even in the middle of the day, even at work, I know this is not normal, but i just couldn' t help 😀
My opinion about Melkior eyeshadows is that they are good quality and very, very affordable, the refill version only costs 17 lei (4 $). Used with a primer (Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance) they last from 8 a.m. until 9-10 p.m. without creasing and with minimal fading. They could last even more, I don't know, i never wear makeup more then 12-14 hours. The shades I own blend well, are pigmented and last long without creasing or fading. The one I don't like that much is Delicate rose. It seems to me too powdery, has pretty much fallout and is the less pigmented from the range.

Here are the swatches for those 5 eyeshadows:

I'm also thinking about posting soon pictures with me wearing some of those eyeshadows, I'm also curious to see how Purple Haze and Lilith are working :)

So, here ends my first post, I hope it was useful for you, especially if you're thinking about buying Melkior eyeshadows. What eyeshadows or products from Melkior do you own? Are you happy with them? Do they work well for you? You can comment down below.

Be gorgeous, see you soon!
